Emma Matanle, Lib Dem parliamentary candidate for Hertsmere

Emma is a community champion and campaigner, who passionately believes in protecting our environment and building houses in the right places, preferably re-purposing the built environment. She supports increased government investment to address the crisis in public services due to chronic underfunding.

Emma is a supporter of SEND in Herts, Excluded and Fight the Freight, opposing the government's decision to construct a faux rail freight terminal on the former Radlett airfield.

Currently employed as a legal analyst writing briefing papers on UK parliamentary legislation for the Local Government Information Unit, Emma's background spans international policy, including security/defense (working at Chatham House) and international development (UNDP Afghanistan).

Emma has lived in the area with her family for the last 25 years, and firmly believes that the Liberal Democrats can win in Hertsmere in the next General Election.
