Hertsmere Council leaders have been forced to ditch their draft Local Plan after residents filed a staggering 20,000 objections during the public consultation.
In a stunning about turn, Hertsmere council leaders this evening announced that they've shelved their Local Plan. Congratulations to all the residents whose hard work in generating 20,000 responses to the consultation has forced the council leadership into a climbdown.
This morning the Lib Dem team met with Hertsmere council officers to discuss concerns over the Local Plan consultation portal. They've told us they'll now extend the consultation for an extra 2 weeks.
