Chris Shenton - Bushey South

"I’ve been proud to call Bushey my home for more than forty years. I’m proud of our historic Village, beautiful greenspaces, and our unique community spirit. And I’ve been even prouder - for the last two years - to represent Bushey as a Lib Dem borough councillor.

We’ve worked to improve our parks, protect greenbelt, fix parking problems, and kickstart the regeneration of Bushey Country Club. As Hertsmere’s cabinet member for finance, I have kept council tax as low as possible - in a tough climate - without cutting services.

But there’s so much more I want to achieve for our neighbourhoods.

Roads and pavements need repair. Floods need tackling. Schools need more help, especially for children with SEND. I can only achieve those things as a county councillor - a separate role. That’s why your support is so vital at the 1st May elections.

Outside politics, I’m a Bushey school governor, a data analyst, a dad of two, and a dog-walker in King George’s. "
