General Election hustings got underway at Aldenham School

Questions from students ranged from the benefits of national service; the introduction of votes for 16 year olds; how to improve lives for young people; the pros and cons of VAT on private school fees; and whether truth and integrity is important in politics. On the latter I reminded students of the growing number of disgraced Tory MPs who have breached the ministerial code of conduct, partygate and the consequences of Liz Truss's disastrous mini-budget that have wrecked the lives of so many of us.
